There are tradeoffs in cost and performance between different types of home air filters. In this video we look at the home air filters that are located at the cold air returns around a home as opposed to the single filter system where the air filter is located at the furnace. Are more expensive filters that remove smaller particles of dust the right answer? If you use a more expensive filter but replace it less often is that a good choice? There are tradeoffs between removing more dust particles from the air which my make sense in a family that suffers from allergies and having a higher flow rate through the filter allowing for better air circulation in the home.
